Firefly Hunting & Evenings

Serving seasonal delicacies in the backwoods of Mount Takao, the Ukai Chikutei restaurant now puts on a special show in its beautiful Japanese garden. During the month of July, you can look out over the nearby stream and admire the fireflies gathering around it, all the while enjoying a full kaiseki (traditional Japanese haute cuisine) course. In addition, make your way to the nearby Ukai Toriyama after dinner and you'll be able to get up close to the natural spectacle of these glowing insects.
