Flipper's Daikanyama (CLOSED)

After last year's invasion of eateries dealing in super-fluffy, airy, melt-in-your-mouth versions of the humble flapjack died down, we thought the pancake boom was gone for good. No such luck, apparently: one of the main players behind the second coming of Tokyo's ’cake craze, Flipper's is making another push for glory with the opening of this Daikanyama outpost, the chain's first new location this year. Alongside the signature pancakes, topped simply with fruit or the shop's original maple butter cream, the menu lists a Daikanyama-only version covered with milk tea cream and an entire 'La France' brand pear from Yamagata prefecture.
