Time Out says

French restaurants around the world are known for their top-quality cuisine, but France Restaurant Week wants to help you to enjoy these dishes without breaking the bank. Japan’s largest French cuisine festival is back for its tenth year and 570 restaurants in Japan are participating, offering multicourse meals for ¥8,000 and under.

Until October 31, chefs will be using the best local ingredients to craft special meals for both lunch and dinner. If you’re on a budget, you can go for the ¥2,500 course, while those who want to splurge can opt for the ¥5,000 or ¥8,000 course.

There are over 150 restaurants to choose from, including Marunouchi’s rooftop restaurant The Upper, which is serving a full multicourse meal inspired by a trip to Ishikawa prefecture. It’s produced by head chef Toru Tokushima and features Ishikawa’s locally grown ingredients including kaga lotus root, kintokisou melon and more. One of Tokyo’s long-established Michelin-starred French restaurants, Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnais, will also be participating with an exclusive takeout set, too.

You can see what each restaurant has on offer on the website (Japanese only) and reservations must be booked in advance.
