Gorilla Coffee Roppongi Hills (CLOSED)

After quietly striking down in Tokyo with shops in Shibuya and Ikebukuro, Gorilla Coffee has now set up its third shop in the city on Roppongi Hills' West Walk. Their Roppongi-exclusive menu is about as crazy as the surrounding area, with the standout being the Empire Matcha Shake. Apparently modelled on the nearby Mohri Teien, this creation comes with an appearance that can only be described as eccentric. To make things even more interesting, they're also pioneering a mobile ordering system: pop your order into their smartphone app before heading to the shop and picking up your coffee. Local office workers trying to squeeze a caffeine boost into their 15-minute lunch break should be delighted.
