World-conquering Hakata ramen chain Ippudo is putting a new spin on the good old tachigui stand with this Hamamatsucho shop, opened mid-July in one of the city's most salaryman-infested neighbourhoods. In addition to the usual ramen menu, you can look forward to a selection of Fukuoka nihonshu, with all varieties available for ¥500 per cup, plus a range of sake-compatible appetisers. Sounds like an instant success story already.
