Time Out says

Kannonyama fruit parlour serves sweet treats made with fruit sourced directly from the company’s own Kannonyama Fruit Garden, a popular tourist destination in Wakayama prefecture. And it’s fair to say the company knows what it’s doing – Kannonyama has been growing fruit in Wakayama for six generations since 1911.

Kannonyama’s first shop in Tokyo is in ritzy Ginza and offers extravagant seasonal fruit parfaits in tall glasses. The standard fruit parfait (¥1,980) will get you a taste of four or five fruits like orange, kiwi, apple and strawberry. But it’s worth trying the lemon parfait (¥1,890), which comes with layers of corn flakes, lemon peel jam, lemon slices soaked in syrup, lemon honey jelly, black tea jelly and soft serve ice cream – all topped with whipped cream and meringue. If you’re here at the start of autumn (August to October) get the decadent fig parfait (¥1,890), which comes with sliced organic figs, fig ice cream and fig jam, plus rich whipped cream and a biscuit on top.

For a more substantial meal, get the waffle plate (¥1,690) with a side of seasonal fruit, or the fruit sandwich (¥1,490). You can of course pair your meals and desserts with a cup of tea or coffee, but if you’re looking for more Vitamin C, the 100-percent Wakayama mikan juice (¥660) is not to be missed.
