Ueno lamb chop specialist Nagaokaya's second restaurant opened in Jinbocho in September 2017, presumably to satisfy local students and salarymen's craving for reasonably priced meat. Dipped in 'secret sauce' or seasoned with salt and sansho pepper, these chops reportedly sell in numbers north of 200,000 every year – that's a lot of lamb. Nagaokaya also does remarkably unorthodox paella and multifarious fusion tapas.
