Time Out says

An established stop on the Roppongi dining circuit for over 15 years now, Pizzakaya predates the current pizza boom by over a decade – though it's not like it's angling for a similar audience anyway. The diner-esque interior – with booth seating, chequered floors and bright red walls – should be all the indication you need that you're a long way from Naples now. Forget marinara: the speciality of the house is honest-to-god, Californian-style pizza, with chunky crusts and outré toppings such as Santa Fe (lime chicken, caramelised onions and fresh guacamole), New Love (Spanish olives, red onions and portabella and maitake mushrooms) and Sri Lanka (chicken curry on a pizza, basically). It'll seem unsophisticated to some, pure comfort food to others – and they've got starters and sides to match, including Buffalo wings, shrimp enchilada and some worryingly addictive garlic dough balls. In recent years, Pizzakaya has started offering a slim selection of Cali craft beers like Rogue and Green Flash in the evenings, all reasonably priced. The weekday lunch sets – where ¥1,000 gets you a choose-your-own-topping pizza, generous salad and drink – are also very good value.
