Time Out says

Can’t decide between Japanese or Chinese? You can have both at this new Ebisu restaurant, serving up meals made with traditional Japanese ingredients mixed with Cantonese culinary techniques.

There's English in the mix, too – just ask one of the English-speaking wait staff, clad in their beautiful kimono, if you need any help. Food is served kaiseki style, so expect small-sized portions artfully arranged on colourful Kutani ware ceramic plates.

You can look forward to unique dishes like homemade white asparagus tofu, spring rolls filled with firefly squid and canola blossoms, a light soup of bamboo shoots and clams served in a traditional tea bowl, and tender beef simmered in Chinese Tsingtao beer. We recommend going for Taizan's set menu, but you can also order à la carte.
