Time Out says

This restaurant originally started as a fish retailer in Akasaka over 130 years ago, but now serves delicious tempura meals in the quiet neighbourhood of Nishi-Azabu. All that seafood expertise translates perfectly into the world of tempura, as the chef turns out perfectly crispy morsels made from only the freshest fish.

Despite its luxurious interior and premium ingredients, the standard tempura rice bowl will set you back just ¥2,200. It comes with two gigantic prawns, three kinds of veggies and kakiage (mixed seafood) tempura. You can even opt for a lunch course meal for ¥4,400 or ¥6,600, both of which come with eight types of tempura and side dishes.

Come here for dinner and splurge on a multi-course tempura meal (¥9,900) which includes ten types of seafood and veggie tempura, along with other small dishes and dessert. Upgrade to the restaurant’s decadent ¥13,200 course to add a platter of fresh sashimi, too. The restaurant only seats up to eight people at a time, so make sure to make reservations beforehand so as to not be disappointed when you arrive.
