Tenbo Shokudo

This eatery is located on the top of Mt Mitake at a height of 882 metres. Patrons can get a view across the Kanto plain and on a fine day can see as far as Mt Tsukuba. Meal tickets need to be purchased right inside the entrance at a vending machine. Step inside and find table seating for 80 people on the first floor and tatami-seating for 80 people on the second floor. Bring your pet and you are welcome to sit at the tables outside. Try the Unjo Gozen featuring kamameshi (rice cooked with meat and vegetables) and grilled fish. Just wanting a snack? Try the yaki-onigiri or nameko mushroom soup.
