The Tavern Secret Kitchen at Andaz Tokyo returns with a special guest: Ben Wheeler, Chef de Cuisine of New York Grill & Bar at Park Hyatt Tokyo. The pop-up event is part of the hotel’s exclusive dining series, which invites guests to indulge in exceptional culinary experiences featuring gourmet creations by renowned chefs from Japan and around the world.
Chef Wheeler’s exclusive dinner will be available for only two days this May and takes place at the hotel's main restaurant, The Tavern - Grill & Lounge. In anticipation of Park Hyatt Tokyo's reopening this autumn, the chef will be whipping up classic dishes from the New York Grill & Bar alongside new offerings that will debut after the hotel’s reopening.
Menu highlights include a delicate hamachi crudo with avocado, red chili, and yuzu dressing; a rich Hokkaido beef tenderloin paired with garlic mashed potatoes and jumbo asparagus; and a show-stopping baked Alaska featuring seasonal citrus, yuzu sorbet and Grand Marnier.
