Time Out says

This café takes its name from a species of songbird, perhaps because of its peaceful views over the lush Happo-en gardens and their feathered residents, making it easy to forget you're in the city. The expansive terrace seats 28, all of them overlook the 33,000sqm garden. The menu fits the verdant surroundings; based on farm-to-table philosophy, the chefs cook local organic produce into casual, modern Japanese fusion cuisine.

For lunch, try dishes like spaghetti with tuna and seasonal greens for ¥1,500, or the seasonal vegetable curry with millet. Come dinner, choose from a more expanded menu. If you’re planning a special night out, the seven-course set meal is a good option, which is available at a very reasonable ¥3,800. The wine selection features organic and natural wines to match the food’s healthy eating angle. If you’re a beer lover, be sure to check out the venue’s beer garden, which opens in summer until the end of September.
