This Tom-and-Jerry-themed café serves a selection of cheesy dishes to celebrate National Cheese Day on November 11 at Box Cafe & Space in Lumine Est Shinjuku. The menu features Jerry’s favourite flavours, including a macaroni and cheese burger (¥1,650), omurice shaped into a block of swiss cheese (¥1,759) and meatball pasta (¥1,650). Even the dessert menu features cheese, including the tiramisu (¥1,540) with layers of mascarpone cream, and a cake plate with a mini mascarpone cream cake and a slice of cheesecake (¥1,100).
If you’re visiting with a friend, order the Chase Cheese Set (¥2,860) which comes with a cheese ice cream parfait, cheese tart and tomato bruschetta each, served on an afternoon-tea style two-tier plate.
Pair your meal with a delicious latte (from ¥880) which has an illustration of Tom and Jerry printed on the foam. If you’re looking for cold drinks, try the cream soda (from ¥990) or cheese cream tea (from ¥990).
