Time Out says

Opened in May 2025, this year-round kakigori shop in Kichijoji is the newer sister shop to the popular Taiyaki Sora next door, which is known for its taiyaki (fish-shaped cakes) and seasonal shaved ice. The menu changes weekly, with an emphasis on seasonal fruit creations that keep regulars coming back to discover what’s new. The owner also takes great pride in his shaving technique, loosely layering the ice rather than packing it tightly to create tiny pockets of air that result in an exceptionally light, fluffy texture.

During our visit, we were lucky enough to try the seasonal plum kakigori, which paired a luscious milk base with a rum cheese filling. We also sampled a greenhouse-grown mandarin orange creation, where the bright citrus flavours were beautifully complemented by an annin (apricot kernel) milk base and a yoghurt cream hidden inside.

Reservations are essential and can only be made via Instagram DM. Bookings open at 9pm on Tuesdays for Wednesday and Thursday, and at 9pm on Fridays for the weekend. The weekly menu is announced every Monday via Instagram, where you’ll also find reservation instructions and updates once time slots have filled. While English reservation instructions aren’t available, you can easily use Google Translate to fill in your details and secure a spot.
