Try Mister Donut’s new recipe for free

Maybe the strain of having to compete with Krispy Kreme and an increasing number of independent doughnut shops is starting to have its toll on Mister Donut. Eager to up its game, the long-running fast food chain will be revamping one of its staples, the Old-Fashioned, later this month. Such is their confidence in the new recipe that they're inviting the public to do a side-by-side taste test this week, prior to the doughnut's official debut on April 26. The first 3,000 people to arrive at Roppongi Hills Arena on Thursday afternoon will be treated to free samples of the old and, er, new Old-Fashioned, and see which one they think tastes better.
