Time Out says

Dim sum is seriously moreish. Once you start popping these delicious dumplings into your mouth, it can be hard to stop. Now you can find out just how many dim sum you can get through in one sitting at Toshai without worrying about racking up the bill, as this restaurant offers all-you-can-eat dumpling deals.

Tohsai belongs to the same group as restaurant chain Bamiyan, which has more than 300 locations across Japan serving up Chinese food. And as a nice tribute, Tohsai occupies the venue of the very first Bamiyan that opened back in 1986. But that’s where the history ends because Tohsai has a modern look with a bright and airy decor.

You probably won’t be spending much time admiring the decor, though, with the dumplings sure to steal the show. There are more than 50 types of dim sum, including interesting riffs like pork and truffle gyoza, a sweet and sour shrimp rice flour roll, and even a dessert dim sum with a marzipan panda face.

If you’re on a mission to devour as many dim sum as possible, the all-you-can-eat deals are the way to go. There are three courses, starting with a selection of 24 dim sum for ¥2,089 (90 minutes), a choice of 40 dumplings for ¥2,419 (120 minutes) and unlimited access to the full-range of 52 dim sum for ¥2,639 (120 minutes). Smaller set menus and a la carte dishes are also available.

Place your order on the tablet at the table and the dim sum will be served to you, even if you choose the all-you-can-eat option. You can also take freshly made dumplings from a trolley pushed around by the staff, just like how it’s done in Hong Kong. So all you have to do is sit back and see how many dim sum you can get through.
