Time Out says

A traditional French pastry sprinkled with pearl sugar, the chouquette isn't a familiar sight in Tokyo, despite the city's seeming obsession with all things Gallic and edible. Hoping to change that state of affairs is this new specialist shop, opened inside the Solamachi mall at the base of the Skytree in December. In place of the traditional version, the chouquettes here are customised to local tastes, with chocolate-coated, cream-filled and even cheese-flavoured creations sold to go both individually and in gift boxes. Stop by next time you're in the area and decide for yourself whether or not a new dessert trend is in the making.
