Beloved by LA's sweets connoisseurs for well over 50 years, Compartés is now run by choc celeb Jonathan Grahm, who took over the shop as a 15-year old chocolatier prodigy. His art-like, organic creations, which range from truffle tops to chocolate-dipped orange peels, are wrapped in colourful paper that reflects the content's flavour profile – Buddha is featured on a Tibetan Goji almond bar, African wildlife adorn the Kenyan coffee cocao nib bar, and so on. In the Tokyo area, Compartés operates a total of five branches, with this Aoyama location serving as the brand's headquarters.
