Catering especially to the discerning homebody, Cotogoto curates items designed to make daily household chores more comfortable. The spacious, warehouse-like interior is stacked full of tableware, cooking utensils, cleaning supplies and much more, all crafted in Japan. Every last item sold has been tried and tested by the staff based on criteria like ease of use, durability and the sophistication of the design.
The cooking utensils section, where you’ll find plentiful selections of pots, knives, bowls and tongs, is particularly outstanding. Keep an eye for innovative metal creations from Kajidonya, a kitchen tools brand from Tsubame-Sanjo in Niigata. Their citrus peelers, perforated miso strainers and tempura rings scratch very specific itches and are all the better for it.
The Cotogoto team also designs and sells exclusive products created in collaboration with artisans and workshops across Japan, including pots, chopsticks and brooms. Events held several times each month pad the line-up further with items like bento boxes, baskets, bamboo strainers and small side plates, collected from all over the country and sold in limited quantities to the fast and lucky.
