General Store Railyard at Omiya Station run by JR East Cross Station has been selling railway merchandise since 2017. Japanese train fans can now purchase collectors’ items like replicas of JR station signs (¥16,000), train headboards (¥108,900) and even yukata (¥4,950) that were distributed in its sleeper trains.
While many of the items here are rare memorabilia that you won’t find anywhere else, there are also plenty of knick-knacks that are much more reasonably priced, including stationery, socks, tote bags, keychains, books and homewares featuring the adorable Suica penguin mascot, too.
