Time Out says

With his new Tokyo opening Goûter, acclaimed patissier and chocolatier Sébastien Bouillet wants to recreate the excitement he felt growing up in his family’s Lyon pastry shop, as he picked out his daily afternoon treat. This cosy space, located a stone’s throw from Gakugeidaigaku Station, is dedicated to luxurious, snack-sized baked goods and sweets that are also surprisingly affordable. Though mainly a take-out spot, Goûter does have two eat-in tables that you may be lucky enough to grab.

Recommendations from Bouillet himself include the Lyon Fromage Sando Fromage (¥411), a new item created to mark the store’s opening. Sandwiched inside crisp and fragrant croissant dough you’ll find cheesecake given a refreshing bright yuzu tang, together with framboise sauce. He also recommends the Le Jenny (¥432), a brownie-cookie hybrid finished with a caramel and praline sauce, as well as the Japan-exclusive Melon Pan (¥216).

Craving something on the savoury side? Try the Croque Bouillet (¥594), a gourmet take on the croque monsieur that uses Gouda cheese in place of the typical Gruyère. Or perhaps the pizza-style bread in margherita (¥540) and bacon potato (¥594) varieties.
