Henri Charpentier Sakura Sweets

Venerable bakery and pâtisserie Henri Charpentier has been in business for over 40 years, and is celebrating this sakura season with a Sakura Shortcake, sold from March 4 until March 31. They've combined a matcha-flavoured sponge cake with strawberries and fluffy whipped cream to create a very springy whole. There will also be sakura-flavoured macarons up for grabs during the same period, so pick up one or more and head to the park. The goodies will be sold at 55 Henri Charpentier stores nationwide, so check in advance if your local one offers them.
