Kimono Modern Pop-Up Shop

California-born and -bred brand Kimono Modern is heading back to the traditional garment's roots with this pop-up at Nishi-Azabu's Kontacto East Studio. As the brand name suggests, they do a decidedly modern take on the traditional kimono, making them very wearable on any day, and not just on formal occasions. If that sounds like your cup of tea, head over during these three days to pick out a robe; if you can't make up your mind or find the time, you'll have to make the trek to Fukuoka, home to Kimono Modern's only permanent store in Japan.
