Representing over 170,000 artists, from established names to amateurs, Japan's largest handicraft market deals in everything from bags and clothing to chopsticks and sweets, and now returns for its annual mega-bash. Taking over Big Sight for two days in April, the Minne Handmade Market will see over 1,800 booths set up, so finding something you like is pretty much guaranteed. The tickets (¥1,500, ¥1,200 if bought in advance) are valid for both days and re-entry is allowed throughout.

The description on here made it sound like there would be actual handmade items for sale. This festival is to purchase goods to make your OWN crafts. If you're American, it's basically a very large Michaels store. Also, they do workshop for you to make all sorts of things using their products (jewelry, painting, calligraphy, stitch work, etc) but since there are thousands of people here, all the workshops are pretty much sold out for the entire day. And knowing Japanese would help greatly. So if you need crafty materials this is the place to come!
