Pottery is one of the most renowned forms of traditional craftsmanship in Japan, and Mug Pop is where to appreciate it in one very specific – and unsurprising – form: mugs. More than 250 varieties line the shelves at this peculiarly specialised store, opened in July 2017 near Harajuku's Takeshita-dori. You'll find everything from traditional tankards to cutting-edge cups on display, while all visitors are given a free mini-cup of ice coffee plus access to the store wi-fi. Look around, pick some up and find your favourite.
