Looking for a good tailor in Tokyo? We have good news: prestigious London-based bespoke tailors Benson & Clegg have found a home in Japan at this new store in Roppongi. Founded in 1937, the heritage-rich brand even boasts a royal warrant to The Prince of Wales for the supply of buttons, badges and military neckwear. Head cutter Tony Martin plans to travel from London to Tokyo several times a year, enabling Japan-based customers to book appointments with him for a true bespoke service. There are also plans to roll out a ready-to-wear collection of suits, which will be available for purchase at the store.
Muse Style Lab was originally founded in Osaka by Tomomi Katsu, who has built up a reputation for her own bespoke tailoring service – and for being the first female tailor in Japan. With this new branch in Roppongi and her partnership with Benson & Clegg, she is set to cement her own tailoring legacy. Whether you choose a suit by Muse Style Lab or Benson & Clegg, every garment is made by skilled craftsmen, ensuring superb quality and a perfect cut. Appointments must be made in advance and first measurement takes anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours.
