Turkish baklava brand Karakoy Gulloglu has opened its first overseas store in Matsuya Ginza department store. If you’re new to this Turkish dessert, you can’t go wrong with Nadir Gullu’s standard baklava that has a layer of pistachio from Gaziantep in Turkey in between a sweet, 12-layer buttery pie crust. For those looking to try something a bit different, we recommend the walnut-filled baklava with walnuts from Şevin Karahisar in northeastern Turkey. The pistachio baklava is also available in king size, which is double the size of the standard serving.
