Newly opened in the basement of the Nihon Building in front of Tokyo Station, Popping Stand is a place for ‘tasting’ the artistic beauty of Japan. You can buy any of the around 50 different traditional Japanese craft dishes available and taste about 30 kinds of sake or food with it. For example, sake served in a traditional cut (kiriko) glass and Italian cheese on a small porcelain dish can be had for ¥200 each. The tasting experience is so much more memorable when you can actually touch and see a handmade item, and enjoy its aesthetic design created by a Japanese artisan.
