Schmatz Bakery & Beer

German-style restaurant Schmatz, who's opened more than 25 outposts over the past four years, has launched its new location in Shimokitazawa with an entirely new theme. While the restaurant is mostly known for their original sausages and other meaty dishes, this new branch focuses exclusively on German bread specialties, including pretzels and rye bread, as well as a large variety of international-style bread like croissants, baguettes and more. The shop is also open from 8am, making it a great breakfast spot, while at dinner, diners can pair baked goods with a cool lager.
