Since 1954, this venerable bibliophile heaven has been supplying Tokyoites with secondhand Japanese books spanning the whole gamut of literary genres. Go digging among the piles for rare finds and you’ll even come across some obscure titles in English. Note that the in-house 'book mountain', a true spectacle that could easily pass as an art installation, will be levelled come summer.
