Time Out says

The English-language Tokyo International Players company revisits a well-loved children's tale for its Christmas production, but we're a long way from pantomime territory here. In the hands of Sheffield playwright Laura Wade, Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is turned into a teen-goth fantasia, where the White Rabbit is a biker and the heroine is mourning the loss of her brother in a drink-driving accident. Director Liam Shea's production promises to add a few local touches to the mix, including poetry-spouting sumo wrestlers and expat wives with pigs for babies.
