Head over to the riverside Shioiri Park in Minami-Senju for this 'picnic performance' created in collaboration with local residents and featuring up-and-coming artists representing a wide variety of genres. Around 100 performers will engage in dance, music and more, with the audience encouraged to look on from anywhere on the park lawns (a 'picnic kit' – blanket, booklet and audio guide (in Japanese) – is included in the entrance fee). The organisers are also still looking for performers, so if you think you got what it takes, try attending one of the advertised workshops.
