Sadistic Circus 2017

The official monikers 'circus in hell', 'gigantic freak show' and 'bizarre, kinky entertainment' accurately describe this annual festival of the grotesque. Returning for a spring edition at Shinjuku Face, a venue that usually hosts pro wrestling bouts, Sadistic Circus has been attracting fetishists since 2002, evolving into quite a spectacle over the years. Befitting the location, this time will see a wrestling ring set up in the middle of the hall, with a star-studded group of 11 artists set to appear during the all-nighter. Highlights can be expected to come from American freakshow performers Squidling Brothers, bondage queen Asuka Ryuzaki, animal-shaped latex bodysuit trickster Saeborg and 'salsa burlesque' collective LA Keiko.
