Time Out says

The Royal Opera returns to Japan for the first time since 2015. The company will be performing all five acts of this classic French opera about a disillusioned philosopher, Faust, who sells his soul to the devil to have his youth restored and asks the demon Méphistophélès to make a young maiden, Marguerite, fall in love with him. Faust, however, is quick to waste his sudden good fortune and Méphistophélès gleefully watches as things fall apart before him. This production will be conducted by the music director of the Royal Opera, Sir Antonio Pappano.
