Itabashi Botanical Garden houses over 700 species of tropical plants, but it also has a mini aquarium in the basement with around 150 kinds of fish mostly from Southeast Asia. For this special event, the aquarium is bringing back its Amazon Exhibition, expanding its list of species for a limited time by adding creatures that live at the Amazon River.
The exhibits include carnivorous piranhas, black ghost knifefish, vivid coloured venomous frogs, freshwater stingrays, redtail catfish and green iguanas. There’s also a massive photo panel of the Amazon River set up, so you can take a photo and pretend you’re actually in the South American jungle.
