Animate Girls Festival is one of Japan’s biggest anime festivals catered to female fans. It’s held on November 5 and 6 at Sunshine City Ikebukuro, where 99 booths will be set up featuring Japanese anime and comics, voice actors, games, cosplay and merchandise. Its cheapest ticket goes for ¥800, which gets you in from the afternoon, while the most expensive premium tickets (¥39,000) get you early access and include a collection of exclusive merchandise. You can purchase tickets in advance online.
If you can’t get your hands on a ticket, not all is lost. Anime fiends can still enjoy part of the festivities in surrounding areas, where you can win exclusive coasters and keychains by solving riddles or shopping at one of the participating stores.
