Aoyama Bread Festival

Bakeries and pâtisseries from all over Japan gather once again at Aoyama's UNU farmers' market for two days of bread-centred fun. As always, the event is a great opportunity to stock up on quality baked goodies, offered by more than a dozen bakeries. This weekend's edition celebrates old-school favourites from sweet anpan to savoury yakisoba-pan – carbs galore, in other words – while the pop-up bars set up around the square serve wine, beer, fresh cheese and the like.
