Get to know Asakusa’s old-school charm where you’ll explore the town via rickshaw which were used in the Edo period (1603-1867). Your guide will give you an in-depth look behind the history and religious significance of Sensoji Temple and help explain delicious street food as you walk through the shopping streets filled with traditional food stalls. Then you’ll head over to Kappabashi, the cooking equipment district frequented by restaurateurs and chefs. Here you’ll find sharp knives, traditional wooden utensils and even plastic display food. You’ll finish off the tour with lunch at a monjayaki restaurant and try Japanese-style pancakes filled with cabbage, meats and other toppings of your choice.
