The Japan Foundation Asia Center has been promoting cultural exchange between the country and Southeast Asia since 2014. This year marks their 5th anniversary and to celebrate, the center will be hosting a festival. Activities include theater performances directed by Cannes Film Festival award winner, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and a special screening of internationally acclaimed Southeast Asian directors.
There will also be a one-night-only concert on the closing day, played by an orchestra of over 80 people with professional musicians from Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar. Don’t miss out on the street dance performance organised by the Dance Dance Asia association, which is made up of outstanding Asian dancers.
