Gloomy Bear 25th Anniversary Art Exhibitio

Mori Chack’s pink bear with claw marks and a grin that’s a little too wide turns 25 with a short art show inside Harakado. Born in 2000, Gloomy Bear has always been the darker side of kawaii: soft and oversized, but permanently smeared with blood. It became a cult hit through the 2000s, plastered across plush toys, clothes and collabs, and still lingers as one of Japan’s most twisted mascots. The anniversary exhibition at Baby The Coffee Brew Club shows new works for the first time, giving fans a chance to see how Gloomy has evolved back in the neighbourhood that made it pop.
