Time Out says

As the event website points out, the disaster prone nation of Bangladesh is a regular cyclone victim, and is under severe threat from the effects of global warming. Should the planet continue to heat up at the rate we're currently experiencing, the country's coastal towns of could be under water within a few years, so the Bangladesh Festival in Yoyogi Park is as much a celebration of folk culture and food as it is an attempt to educate the masses on the precarious situation the world at large currently finds itself in. All of which feels as though it has the potential to overwhelm an otherwise happy occasion, but with plenty of dancing and amazing spicy food on offer, some sense of levity ought to remain intact.
