Organised by the Wild Bird Society of Japan, these newbie-friendly excursions allow you to get a taste of serious chirp-watching in the crisp autumn weather. This season is supposed to be ideal for the activity, as trees shed their leaves and make the birds easier to spot, while sparrows, seagulls and other specimens enjoy the comfy temperatures. The events take place in Yoyogi, Hibiya and Showa Kinen parks, and participants can borrow binoculars for free at all three locations.
