Chiyoda Sakura Matsuri
Time Out says
For a hanami experience combining urban style, history and – unfortunately – suffocating crowds, the Chiyoda Sakura Matsuri is hard to beat. The more than 250 trees along the Chidorigafuchi moat are lit up with LEDs at night, while the park's boathouse extends its opening hours for the occasion. On April 1, consider joining one of the guided tours (in English), which start at the Chidorigafuchi Ryokudo before heading to Chidorigafuchi Park, the National Theatre and Shimizutani Park, where a tea ceremony is held to end the walk. After the tour, you can also take part in a workshop themed on traditional Japanese incense (costs an extra ¥1,000).
