Shopping mall Bay Quarter in Yokohama has a massive eight-metre-tall fir tree that's decorated with 13,000 champagne-gold lights and festive ornaments. This year, a floral theme has been added to the mall’s traditional Christmas event, so you’ll find lots of flowers adorning the tree as well. Make sure to get close to the base of the Christmas tree to see decorations of small forest animals. You’ll also find two more floral displays beside the tree, dubbed the Flower Wall and Flower Roof. You can take a seat underneath, snap some pictures and enjoy the festive atmosphere before continuing your shopping spree.
The Christmas tree light-up takes place daily from 4pm to 11pm.
