Cinco de Mayo Festival 2014

Things to do

Time Out says

And you thought that Tokyo's Oktoberfests were the only ones that got their dates wrong... Held annually in the US to commemorate Mexico's historic victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, the Cinco de Mayo Festival will be heading to Tokyo again this year – though, as usual, it's arriving a couple of days ahead of schedule (presumably to avoid clashing with the May 5 Children's Day). Expect mariachi bands, rockabillies and traditional dancers from Latin America, along with piñata sessions for the kids and a variety of Tex-Mex food stands and market stalls.
