Hikarie's D47 Museum, dedicated to spreading the word about all of Japan's 47 prefectures, now holds up Kyushu's Oita with this travel- and design-focused exhibition. The museum's restaurant also offers a special menu featuring local delicacies like fried chicken from Nakatsu, the 'karaage capital of Japan', seasonal seafood and fresh veg, plus tempura chicken (toriten) from hot spring town Beppu.
