Earth Day takes place every April 22 in cities around the world to raise awareness for environmental protection. Tokyo is also taking part with this festival at Miyashita Park over the weekend of April 22 to 23.
Head up to the rooftop of this Shibuya shopping mall to browse eco-friendly accessories and homeware made from upcycled materials by upcoming artists and creators. There’s also a flea market where you can shop for sustainable fashion wear, plus stalls selling snacks and drinks.
You can also catch some stage performances during the festival, including talk sessions about sustainability. There's live music and traditional bon odori dance shows, too.
