Fancy yourself a warrior? Look the part too at Fukushima prefecture's 'antenna shop' in Nihonbashi, where you can try on samurai armour for free during this five-day event. The outfits are modelled on the ones worn by horse-riding participants in the 1,000-year-old Soma-Nomaoi festival taking place in the Soma region every July. Kids can try wearing Jinbaori, a type of short coat donned by samurai, while anyone who spends at least ¥3,000 at the shop's local food fair will receive a free serving of either Kitakata ramen or sweet and spicy pork over rice. The armour itself will be on display until the end of September.
