Soran Nomura, the bartender behind Nihombashi’s ritzy Ao bar and some of our favourite cocktails at The SG Club, is launching his latest creation with a free five-day pop-up event at café and bar No in Yoyogi-Uehara.
Gomi, a clothing and design brand started by Nomura, is releasing its first product: a cotton samue coat. The lightweight garment, which will be available to try on and purchase at the event, isn’t just for bartenders – it’s designed to be comfy, stylish workwear for anybody.
There will also be a photo exhibition showing the creation of the coats and the process of dyeing them at Buaisou, a traditional indigo-dyeing factory in Tokushima. The bar will be serving cocktails and mocktails made with special ingredients from Tokushima (¥800-¥1,200).
